Sbrigyn Ymborth is a North Wales based record label, formed in 2006. The company was founded by three partners, Hefin Jones, Aled Hughes and Sion Owen, who continue to run the label.
February 2009 saw the label sign a contract with worldwide digital distributors Believe Digital, ensuring that the entire catalogue is available as MP3 downloads and streams across the globe on iTunes, Amazon and Deezer among others.
In August 2009, the label released the EP '100 Diwrnod Heb Liw' by Y Promatics, and Bob's debut album, 'Celwydd Golau Dydd'.
Summer 2010 saw the release of Jen Jeniro's single, 'Dolphin Pinc a Melyn' on limited edition pink and yellow cassettes and download, as well as Gildas' debut album, 'Nos Da' on CD and download.
Other scheduled releases include material from Pwsi Meri Mew, as well as further releases from Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog and Jen Jeniro.
The name Sbrigyn Ymborth was coined by local poet Guto Dafydd as a comical Welsh-language translation of chopstick.
